Chroma Design System
CHROMA is the design system I created when working on the Precision Health Cloud platform. The system was designed as a series of reusable components that work together seamlessly.
I originally designed the system and then worked with the inner team to develop it and integrate it into our development process. The goal is to promote consistency, quality and usability for the developers and ultimately our users.
Lifeomic is software company that leverages the cloud, machine learning, and mobile devices to offer disruptive solutions to healthcare providers, researchers, health IT companies, and patients.
As Head of Design, I work with the leaders, developers and marketers to create a unified visual experience across product, mobile and marketing.
Precision Health Cloud platform design
LIFE EXTEND App
An iOS and Android precision health app that helps you improve your healthspan.
Designed the identity and branding as well as the initial version of the app and its core features.
Because of the complexity of this app, we designed a tiled design pattern throughout the app. This allows for alot of information to be displayed while keeping it organized and easy to digest.
The LifeExtend app uses ‘5 pillars’ that are tracked daily, allowing a users to accrue LIFE points that equal a daily goal towards better health. The interface for this was designed to stand out and allow a user to interact with it instantly. The tile pattern in the bottom section allows a user to easily view, track and manage the different features of the app.
Social is a key feature of LifeExtend, so users can not only share their progress but also create their own ‘circles’, allowing for like-minded people to interact, support and engage in increasing their healthspan.
While Creative Director for Genesys, a global call center technology company, I was responsible for managing and elevating the newly designed brand.
I managed and mentored the creative team to support our large marketing organization.
I was also lead designer for many of our high priority projects.
LIFEApps.io is an online resource that encourages healthy living with science-based articles and discussions.
Responsible for the website design, architecture and development (via WordPress).

LIFE Fasting Tracker App
Design lead for UX/UI of the LIFE app, an intermittent fasting tracker. Responsible for branding, which included the logo, marketing materials and the lifefastingtracker.com website.
Worked closely with mobile developers and C-level team to assure alignment and communication through the entire product design process.
Users: Health conscious adults looking to gain information and benefits of intermittent fasting.
Goals: The primary goal of this app is to allow a user to quickly and easily track their intermittent fasting time. Secondary goal is to socialize this activity with your friends and family.
Success: Although we measure download rates and overall activity, the main metric we pay attention to is the amount of time users fast and how often.
Ease of use and socialization are key features for this app. Ease of use was achieved by designing the flow so the user would be able to quickly start a fast once they have logged in - without distraction or friction.
For socialization, we created the concept of LIFE Circles, which is a way for a user to invite family or friends into a group so you can easily track their fasts and give feedback and encouragement.
All this is visible and accessible from the main screen in a cohesive and intuitive way.
LIFE in app store
Lead Web / UI Designer for a artist platform service. Main role was to design enhancements for current products, and work closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and other Designers.
Designed webpages, email campaigns and UI's for various parts of the Reverbnation web application.
Lead Product Designer for an advertising web app. Role was to design the products core interfaces as well as the overall look & feel of the marketing website and assets.
Designed the website, the application flow and various UI elements. This also included designing and iterating on ad creation elements and templates.
Lead Web Designer for the Duke Creative Services team. Led and maintained the visual design of the DukeHealth and Duke Medicine flagship websites.
As the sole department for visual services, was required to design websites and assets for all Duke related departments. Featured websites I designed were the Duke Cancer Institute, Duke Eye Center and the Duke Raleigh and Durham Regional Hospital websites.
Lead designer for the main DukeHealth portal website.
Designed the template system used across various Duke web properties.
Contracted by RIPT Apparel, a custom tee shirt company, delivered custom and unique infographics and artwork to be used for their blog and social media strategy.
Since the topics were usually pop/geek culture, I was given the opportunity to design pieces that were both creative and fun.
